Kentucky Gentleman
There exist strict laws which define precisely how to produce whisky so as to become bourbon whisky. It must be distilled of at least 51% maize, mature for minimum two years in new white oak casks smoked in advance. The darkening of oak casks results into caramelization of the natural sugars contained in the oak which in their turn give a specific taste and aroma to the drink. While the whisky matures, they say that it ‘breathes’ in the cask. It expands during hot months and shrinks during winter. The longer the bourbon matures, the more it will be extracted from the oak. Nothing should be added to the drink to improve the taste or change the color.

Technologically, bourbon can be produced elsewhere, but Kentucky is the only state which is authorized to use this brand label on the bottle. The fine mastery for distillation of the magic drink has won a name for Bardstown as the World’s Bourbon Metropolis.
Kentucky Gentleman Bourbon whisky has been distilled since 1879, using only the most quality American grain and clean spring water of Kentucky in order to guarantee quality and authenticity. Kentucky Gentleman Bourbon is bottled only in the distillery of Barton Brands in Bardstown, Kentucky, USA. Kentucky Gentleman Bourbon is kept for 4 years in oak casks to mature.
